   SEPTEMBER 11th 2001 - "911"
Remember in your Prayers all those
who died, and continue to suffer from
the tragic events of that terrible day.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As your Auxiliary President, I would like to thank the Ladies of our Unit for their hard work and support during this past year, and to thank you for re-electing me as your President for the coming year.
Please come to our July General Membership Meeting and welcome our new slate of officers. Mary Reid: President, Betty Lou Reyer: 1st Vice President, Paula Wright: Treasurer, Carry Rau: Chaplain, Jane Lindsey: Historian, and Tracie Burnette, Sgt. At Arms. The Executive Board is: Betty Tolar, Annie Powell, Gratia Dresback, Leigh Adamson, Wilda Switzer, and Shelby Byrd. Nancy Oliver has been appointed as Secretary.
We will also have an Awards Night the same evening as our installation of 2008-2009 Officers. Following the ceremonies, our unit will have a $5 per person "Juke Box Saturday Night Spaghetti Special".
Our sympathy goes our to Helen Nilges for the loss of her husband Chuck. We will all miss him, and we need to give Helen all of the support that we can over the next several months.
It's good to see that Betty Tolar is up and recovering well after her lung surgery. Send her get well cards, and call occasionally to see how well she is recovering.
The State Convention will take place this month, July 10th through the 13th. We would like to have a good showing if you can attend.
New Membership Cards are out for 2008-2009. Let's get started early this year and exceed our Membership Goal for next year!!!
Keep our Troops in your prayers, and Unit Members with health problems are too numerous to mention each individually, but your prayers and support are always needed.

                                               "Proud To Be An American"
                                                   "For God and Country"

                                            Mary Smith-Reid, President

Operation Dear Abby
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Military mail has slowed oversees, and "any Service Member" letters are no longer accepted by the United States Postal service. However, Dear Abby, along with the Department of Defense, has continued the mission of communicating with Military Personnel by setting up a web site to write to the Service Members stationed oversees. This is just one more small way to help the Morale of our Troops overseas.
